Mooring Buoys

Mampaey Mooring Buoys are in use to moor vessels during loading and unloading operations or at "waiting areas". Mampaey Mooring Buoys are robust steel buoys which makes mooring safe, even in the severest conditions. The buoys are specially designed by Mampaey to be integrated with the Mooring hooks. By connecting the anchor chain to the mooring unit directly, a very stable and sturdy buoy is realized. The stability of the Mampaey Mooring Buoy guarantees a safer operation with a maximum of operational space.

The Quick Release Mooring Hooks are adapted to be used on mooring buoys. Special coating, bushings, grease and internal parts out of stainless steel guarantees the Mampaey quality even in the extreme corrosive environment. Additionally a special manual release mechanism assures the safe operation of the hooks in all sea conditions.

The buoys can be equipped with a maximum of 3 mooring hooks up to 150 tons each. Different buoy sizes are available depending upon the requirements and conditions.

Optionally the buoys can be equipped with the following features:

• Load Monitoring System for visualizing loads applied on each hook.
• Remote Buoy Operation from Ship system (portable) and/or shore system by means of telemetry system up to 4NM offshore license free.
• Solar panels for charging batteries
