Remote Buoy Operation

In addition to the standard manual release, the mooring buoy hooks can optionally be equipped with a remote release system. This allows the hooks to be released individually or simultaneously in case of an emergency by the line handler onsite with a PDA or from ashore with the control panel. Push-buttons can be installed on the buoy for local operation as well. An indication whether the hook is open or closed can be transmitted to the remote control panel. Without a transmitting licence the buoys can be controlled from a distance up to 4 NM offshore. With permission this can be extended much further.
