Load Monitoring The hook can be equipped with a Load Monitoring system in order to have an indication of the tug’s pulling force applied to the vessel that is being assisted. This indication enables the tug master to carry out the pilots commands more accurate. An adjustable alarm can be set for high loads preventing damage to towline and vessel.
 The load monitoring system consists of a load-cell that is installed in the hook. On the bridge of the tug a panel is installed that continuously displays the towline force in Tons and gives the overload alarm.
