Remote Control

To all towing hooks a release wire can be connected to open the hook from the wheelhouse manually. As option the hook can additionally be remote controlled by the push of a single button that activates a pneumatic or hydraulic cylinder mounted on the hook. The hook can be operated from the bridge and deck areas with watertight push-button(s).

In case of the Electric-Pneumatic Remote Control (EPR) the signal activates a solenoid valve allowing compressed air from the vessels own pneumatic system to activate the release cylinder. The same applies for the Electric-Hydraulic Remote Control (EHR), but operates then on hydraulic pressure. Mampaey can offer either a complete hydraulic power pack or components permitting connection to the vessels hydraulic system
