Italian energy giant Eni recently chartered LNG carrier Excalibur from the Belgian company Exmar. Currently, the LNG carrier is being converted into a floating storage unit (FSU).
For this project Mampaey supplied 4 sets of Triple Hook Mooring Units and 2 sets of Double Hook Mooring Units, each with a safe working load of 150 metric tons. An electric remote control system, a mooring load monitoring system and a computer system for safety monitoring were included.
When finished, the Excalibur will join Tango FLNG at Marine XII project in Congo.
