For a new LNG terminal in the Italian port of Piombino we provided 8 sets of Double Mooring Hooks with a safe working load of 150 tons each, a Central Monitoring System, an Electronic Remote Control System, a Remote Control Panel and a Mooring Load Monitoring System. The hooks are equipped with visible and audible alarm signals that go off when the load on a single hook exceeds the maximum safe working load.
The equipment will be used for the safe mooring of the Golar Tundra. This floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) will regasify up to 5 billion cubic metres of LNG annually.
